Virtual Filmmaking

Reducing the carbon footprint by digital twinning

We’re building a plugin for Unreal Engine that imports survey-grade aerial 3D mapping directly into real-time production, unlocking Alberta and Vancouver for precise virtual scouting and previs.

Our Story

In the recent film Honorable Sinners which wrapped late 2025 we were able to design our action by first capturing rural Alberta from the sky. We then incorporated our high level 3D data into Unreal Engine. This allowed us to provide accurate virtual twins of the landscape.

The plugin will translate this geospatial intelligence into real-time, streamable Unreal environments for previs, techvis, and virtual scouting across Alberta and Vancouver. By integrating coordinate-true terrain meshes, orthoimagery, and metadata layers natively, we enable filmmakers to operate inside a spatially accurate digital twin of Western Canada.
